David Love completed his M.A. in Sociology at University of Miami with a perfect 4.0 GPA, earning an Award of Academic Merit, and immediately began studying for his Ph.D. degree. In his undergraduate studies at University of Miami he had a 3.58 GPA in his B.A. degree, which he completed in four years (eight semesters), making the Dean’s List in five of the final six of those eight semesters and graduating with Departmental Honors.

When the next semester started, he immediately began studying for his M.A. degree (for which he received a full assistantship and complete financial aid award), and completed his M.A. with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Immediately after that, during the first year of his Ph.D. studies, he received a full assistantship and complete financial aid award. For the remainder of his studies at University of Miami, he received a University Fellowship, the most valuable and highest level of financial aid given to students (only one student in each department can receive such an award at the school, and in many departments, no student is given this award).
